ADAMANT Year in Review: Technical Progress and Platform Growth
Another year of development on ADAMANT has concluded, bringing substantial technical progress across the platform. As Alexei Lebedev, CEO of ADAMANT TECH LABS, notes: building a messenger without precedents requires navigating many technical challenges, where even familiar features from classic messengers demand detailed study and new approaches. The work follows a clear path toward the decentralized Internet.
Infrastructure and APIs saw major advances. The Block Explorer was redesigned, and ADAMANT’s core infrastructure was enhanced. The Chatrooms API was released with node 0.5.1, accompanied by a demo for Android. Both a Node API Specification and a JavaScript API Specification were published, giving developers the documentation needed to build on the platform. The forging pool software also received an update.
In-chat cryptocurrency transfers became a cornerstone feature, with support added for storing and transferring Lisk, DOGE, Dash, KuCoin Shares, and BTC directly within chats. On iOS, Dash transfer support was added as well. An exchange rates service was introduced to complement these features.
Security and privacy improvements included the release of ADAMANT 2FA, the ability to export private keys on iOS, and support for accessing ADAMANT via Tor.
The web application went through significant evolution with a full redesign, a 2.0 release, and a subsequent 2.3.0 release. Notifications were added, a dark theme was introduced, and message search functionality was implemented. Users also gained the ability to read and send messages via the Console.
Desktop and mobile expansion brought native apps for Mac, Windows, and GNU/Linux. On iOS, push notifications were enhanced to include message content.
Bots and exchanges became a new frontier. Bots on the ADAMANT blockchain were introduced, including a Bet Bot on crypto rates. Anonymous crypto exchanges were built on the ADAMANT platform, and users gained the ability to create their own Exchanger instances.
Partnerships and listings included integration with Stably and Stably Dollar, a partnership with Resfinex that resulted in an ADM/USDT listing, and listings on additional coin integrator resources.
The breadth of these developments reflects steady progress toward a more capable decentralized messaging platform. Plans for the coming year focus on making ADAMANT faster, more convenient, and more feature-complete.
