The decentralized messenger ADAMANT is now available on Google Play. The application requires no permissions by default — it does not request geolocation or access to the device address book, which aligns with its privacy-focused design. The only optional permissions are camera access, prompted when scanning QR codes of account addresses, and notification access, prompted when enabling push notifications.
Because ADAMANT operates as a blockchain messenger rather than a conventional client-server application, its account model and messaging flow differ from what most users expect. Accounts are identified by cryptographic keys rather than phone numbers or email addresses, and messages are stored on-chain rather than on centralized servers.
